HISTORY:
Reaper was born in a time of terrible strife. The King had already been slain, leaving behind only one heir, and the prince was no more than six years of age. As a child, Reaper grew up as a bastard. His mother would only tell him vague, but heroic tales of his father. She deigned to convince Reaper that his father had died in battle, trying to protect the King. All Reaper knew was that he, himself, had an obsession with the art of war. From a young age, Reaper had a natural knack with weapons of death and destruction. Upon Reaper's twelfth year, his mother passed, having been inflicted with consumption, and Reaper was forced into an orphanage. He did not make friends easily, but he did learn to craft and use his own weaponry. Every day he practiced, and by the time he left the orphanage to take siege to life...he was profoundly excelled in hand to hand combat, and swordsmanship.
Reaper wandered for many years, developing his skills and making his money at the sharp tip of his blade. It was not until Reaper's twenty-third year that he returned home, and was discovered by the young prince, who was now king. The king would have Reaper among his ranks, and as the two came to know one another, they became unlikely friends...and Reaper found a purpose in life. Unfortunately, as time wore on...Reaper began to realize that the king was a master manipulator, cunning, tyrannical, and using him to study and learn his many talents. Reaper still hopes that the young king will come around to the ways of honor, chivalry, and valiance...and thus, he cannot leave his royal student.
